Worst funeral home I've ever been to. Very unprofessional. Made the family feel very rushed, dismissed everyone from the visitation before it was even over. A few minutes later we saw them in the pizza place eating. They rushed the family away from the visitation so they could go eat. My sisters body looked horrible. She was slid down in the casket and just looked awful in general. No effort to cover any bruises. The family actually asked if they could touch up her makeup it looked so. As. The family was asked to help load and unload flowers. They were being paid to do a job and didn't do it. At the funeral they dismissed the people in a very disorderly manner causing the ministers to have to move back and forth from one end of the casket to the other 3-4 times. At the graveside they lowered the casket, closed the vault and took down the tent while the family was still there. They had the truck backed up and ready to dump the dirt when we left. I truly believe if we hadn't left when we did they would have filled the grave with the family standing there. I would absolutely. Ever recommend this funeral home. Because of them, we have bad memories of our sisters funeral that we never should have had. I don't see how they stay in business.

If possible, have the full name of the person who died, date of birth, date and place of death, and next-of-kin contact details. If you have military service information or insurance paperwork, mention it. The funeral home can guide you if you are missing items.

Yes, funeral homes often help families plan within a short timeframe, especially when there are travel needs or faith-based timing considerations. Ask about the earliest available dates for visitation, the service, and cemetery scheduling, and what decisions must be made right away.

Not always. Many families plan the ceremony first and finalize disposition details as they gather information. A memorial service can be held with or without the body present. The funeral home can explain timelines and what choices affect scheduling and paperwork.

A funeral typically includes the body present in a casket, often with a viewing beforehand. A memorial service is usually held after burial or cremation, or without the body present. Both can include readings, music, speakers, and time for guests to pay respects.

It is reasonable to ask for a general price list and an itemized estimate. Costs can include the service and facility fees, transportation, preparation, casket or urn, cemetery charges, and printed materials. Ask what is optional and what is required by law or cemetery rules.

The number needed depends on the estate and accounts involved. Many families order multiple certified copies for insurance, banking, retirement, and title changes. Ask the funeral home what is common in your situation and how long additional copies may take if ordered later.
